A Police Officer Goes Above And Beyond To Help An Injured Dog.

After an accident between a vehicle and a dog, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department received a call about an injured dog. An injured dog was found by Chris Howlett. A sergeant on duty at that time rushed to the scene and comforted the pup as soon as possible. The cop took immediately off his jacket and wrapped it around him.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department officer sat with the shivering animal and assured her that she wasn’t alone while they waited for help to arrive. As soon as rescue arrived, the dog was taken to a nearby veterinarian for treatment, where it was discovered that the pup had only a few minor injuries, to everyone’s relief. After getting treatment, Rouge, the puppy, was returned to its owner.

We can see how the deputies do show compassion. In contrast to how there seems to be a lot of bad press about law enforcement. In this picture, Sgt. Chris Howlett can be seen comforting the dog that had been hit by a car.

The following is what the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department had to say about the rescue:

“She is doing well and hopefully, we will be back home by Monday. I am sure the family has greatly appreciated the outpouring of support from everyone”

To Sergeant Chris Howlett, the entire world extends its heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for his love and kindness.
